Abstract
Deliverable D2.1 covers work package WP8 (Data Driven Simulation). WP8 aims to develop techniques to perform simulation based on models of integrated hybrid systems from both qualitative and quantitative aspects. Its main contribution is in the development of tools/techniques to increase scalability and efficiency of agent-based simulation (based on large data sets). The structure of this report follows the incrementing order of the tasks. The introductory part (this section) describes the overall goals of the WP8, goals distributed over the 4 years span (project age), and an overview of the contents to follow.
