Abstract
The basis of the study is apartments advertised in newspapers for the greater Linz area (city of Linz and 17 surrounding communities). These advertised apartments mainly reflect properly owned by private landlords (for rent) or owner-occupied condominiums (publically subsidized or privately financed) for sale. The study includes data from more than 1000 advertisements published over a period of ten weeks. The result is an extensive structural description on supply on these apartment sectors, of regional distribution, size, standards, and so on. Particular emphasis has been placed on the prices of these of these apartments and condominiums.
