Copulas and Triangular Norms: Selected Commonalities and Differences

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference proceedingspeer-review

Abstract

Copulas and triangular norms share a common history in the context of probabilistic metric spaces, but both have roots way back in different mathematical disciplines and continued to develop further in different fields of applications as well as in theory. In this contribution, we discuss some questions posed independently in each respective fields and highlight related results providing a small tour on selected commonalities and differences of copulas and t-norms.
