Abstract

A new chemical approach that achieves ordered self-assembly of biomolecules is reported. The chemical tags bis-nitrilotriacetic acid (bisNTA) and hexahistidine (His6) are attached to DNA duplexes that self-assemble into supramolecular structures whose subunits are held together by Ni2-bisNTA-His6-chelate bridges
