Abstract
As you look at the production of goods from the environmental point of view, it is nowadays more and more important to take a close view on their whole life cycle. It is important to improve the environmental properties of products all along its life cycle. This requires the exact registration of all material flows and their environmental impact. To deliver useful information about the material flows and to analyse their appearance within the system, is the duty of the material-flow-management. But analysing material and energy flows usually leads to huge amounts of data. This makes it necessary to use modern Software-Tools.
In this thesis some of these wide-spread Software-Tools are discussed and evaluated. The evaluation is done with a catalogue of criteria. After a short overview of each Software-Tool, every point of the catalogue is checked due to its fulfilment or non fulfilment. Based upon the comparison, the different conception and the possibilities of usage of each Software-Tools is described. Within a conclusion there will be given a short interpretation of the findings.
