Abstract
On the basis of qualitative interviews with engineers and architects at three German technical universities, this paper examines how the people who teach and undertake research in (technological) innovation and design, understand gender and conceptualize the relationship of gender and technology. Thus, the analysis focuses on the gender perspectives that are made relevant by actors in the respective fields of innovation and design, to gain a better understanding of the challenges that interdisciplinary endeavors, especially feminist interventions, face.
