Abstract
The increasing demand of using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in complex systems brings the challenge of performance of the CFD methods. So far different approaches have been introduced to increase the efficiency as well as maintaining the accuracy of CFD; however, it is still required to best reduce the high computational costs of simulations. Recurrence CFD (rCFD) aims to tackle this problem by extrapolating the behavior of fluid flows for a long time just based on a short-time full simulation and carrying out recurrence analysis for the systems showing reappearing structures.
