Abstract
The 10th International Symposium on Impact Engineering (ISIE 2019) facilitates a professional dialog between scientists and industry engineers on the field of experimental and computational mechanics with focus on impact and other dynamic problems. As both the steel and the polymer industry contribute significantly to the local economic prosperity, the conference deals accentuated with the application of both material classes for advanced engineering components under impact loading conditions. In addition to the conventional scientific topics of the symposium, novel applications like impact of additive manufactured components, crash tests, and simulations of novel electric vehicle systems are in the focus of the symposium.
