Ökologieorientierte Unternehmensgründungen - Auf den Weg vom Bionier zum Ecopreneur

Environmental protection and sustainable development are of increasing importance for modern corporate management. To be able to take strategic advantage of this environmental challenge, one possibility, among various other possibilities, is to consider environmental aspects already during the start-up phase of the company. This diploma thesis wants to discover in how far start-ups can support a sustainable and ecological development. Furthermore, the differences between conventional start-ups and ecological oriented start-ups are examined. In addition to that, the characteristics of ecological start-ups are outlined. A start-up guideline summarises the most important ecological aspects which should be considered during the start-up phase. Moreover, the concept “ecopreneurship” is introduced, which represents an ideal form of environment-oriented management. Ecological start-ups can highly support a sustainable and especially environmentally sound development. Therefore, these start-ups should be officially supported and considered specifically in start-up counselling.
