Description

The objective of XML-KM ist the integration of existing tourism and commerce applications with a GIS (Geographic Information System) and the data warehouse and tools which have been developed in the MiroWeb project. The integration of the GIS data with the data of the Data Warehouse is carried out via SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics), the future standard for two-dimensional graphics in XML. This standard enables interaction possibility and the usability of all browsers. Goals: Integration of heterogenous data GIS integration (geographic search, tourist maps) Location based services in WAP: Geographical hotel search for mobile WAP phones Personalized tourism newsletters
