Description

The deinstitionalization process brought in the last 5 years about 400 longstay patients new living facilities outside the hospital in the community. The study examines at a representativ sample, if the goals of this deinstitutionalization has been reached: a better quality of life, at most the same costs, together with at least the same psychosocial care. It is investigated, which services this sample uses, if theay get the support they need, how they assess their quality of life and how expensiv this new community based care for former psychiatric inpatient is.
