    Description

The programme sponsered by NOHA (Network on Humanitarian Assistance - EU) gathers different ideas and concepts from the north on university development co-operation with the South in order to think about what we can consider examples of good practice. The comprehensive view of the analysed situation in ten European countries evaluates the extent to which the practices have met with the objektives established prior to their implementation. The study tries to measure to what extent the tools and instruments used were appropriate to the aims. The Austrian part of the study provides a description of the co-operations on university level related to the activities of the Austrian ODA (Official Development Assistance). The study is based on the research "International Development Education at Austrian Universities" including co-operation and international comparisons with European countries (1994-1997) by the author Dr. Margit Franz. Actual data collection was conducted in March 2002.
