Project Details
Description
The company has various fractions of fly ash that need to be further processed before landfilling. This results in leachate with various salts and a correspondingly high pH value. The aim of the experiment/investigation is to find out whether pre-treatment of the filter dust makes it possible to landfill the material without conditioning. The individual work steps are 1) Literary research (finding alternative processes), leaching with water - the aim is to dissolve all but 5g from the fly ash, separation of the fly ash/water suspension then analysis of the water by TOC analysis. At the end, the water is to be treated with membrane distillation crystallization so that the resulting salts precipitate.
