Project: Funded researchFederal / regional / local authorities

Project Details

Description

In 4 Austrian villages with a moderate degree of winter tourism a comprehensive survey of all groups involved in the touristic field was done: guests, inhabitants and touristic enterprises. All aspects of tourism were touched: touristic infrastructure and offerings, patterns and motives of travelling, assessment of the touristic situation in the village etc. The results are discussed within the frame of history and socio-economic situation of each community. Finally the problems and chances of a "gentle" and sustainable winter tourism are touched.
