Project Details
Description
Oberon is both an object-oriented programming language and an extensible operating system. It was originally developed by Niklaus Wirth and Jürg Gutknecht at ETH Zurich. In Linz we refined the Oberon System by adding new mechanisms such as metaprogramming support, exception handling and persistence. We developed several tools for the Internet, for structuring and documenting source code and for static program analysis. We also ported the Oberon System to the Power Macintosh and to Linux.
