Project Details

Description

The project focuses on innovative methods of STEAM education and through this initiates the acquisition of new skills and competencies of both teachers and students. We aim to develop and pilot by closely working together with participant teachers to make innovative STEAM resources and pedagogies for school education more inspiring and meaningful. The project aspires to utilise a range of open and innovative practices through mostly open source or affordable digital tools such as phet.colorado.edu applets, Geogebra etc. The project team already has extensive experience in research and development of teaching materials and tools. Through getting experiences in STEAM education development as well as immersing teachers in educational and design research, their teaching profile and professional prestige are being increased. The coordinator, Charles University, has invaluable experience in all of these fields, by organising Europe’s most prominent STEM conference on PBE (https://pages.pedf.cuni.cz/pbe/?lang=en) and operating as a network hub in all STEM fields.
