Description
In the STEAMCRAFT project primary school students will learn about the systemic functioning of renewable energy sources and green alternatives, and the methodology and tools of smart city development through embedded modifications programmed into Minecraft software, within a pedagogical framework that builds on experiential pedagogy and gamification in the educational structure. Our curricula, training packages, develop the digital competences of educators to make their subjects more engaging in their classrooms.
We want to implement the following activities: Minecraft modification, STEM-oriented knowledge material, manuals, Minecraft-based education strategy, experiential pedagogical framework, educational tool, educational research and development, comparison of curricula and teaching materials, tutorial of basic Minecraft use, teacher guides, curriculum for hazards with renewable energy approach.
Our modified Minecraft with a pedagogy framework is a guided experience that takes players through various challenges designed to teach them STEM skills, environmental awareness, problem-solving, curriculum lessons, and collaboration with others all while ensuring they have an outlet to expand their creativity. It also opens up new forms and techniques of teaching particular sciences that are easier to comprehend and put into practice.
