Solar-electrical Systems based on Polymeric Materials: Novel Polymeric Encapsulation Materials for PV Modules (SolPol-3)

Project: Funded researchOther mainly public funds

Project Details

Description

Combining the existing scientific and industrial expertise in the field of photovoltaic (PV) and polymer technologies in Austria offers a tremendous potential for PV module innovations. The present project SolPol-3 is designed as industrial research and aims at the development of novel polymeric encapsulation materials that improve PV module service performance, while simultaneously reducing material and processing costs. The material innovations primarily include cell embedding and backsheet materials for rigid and flexible PV modules.
