The aim of the project is the development and implementation of a digital asset management system to be used for picture and video data, enabling photographers, film and video producers, new media agencies and broadcast institutions to record, briefly summarize, categorize and file the existing assets. <br> The system should provide a way of exporting videos as well as project data (meta-information) directly from a post production environment and thereby enable the user to research filed material. For this purpose, appropriate search and selection mechanisms shall be provided, which facilitate the finding of the desired assets. Furthermore, the system should offer the possibility for filed project data to be exported and subsequently adopted into the video editing environment.
