Description

Development of a stepper motor controller for the S4 milling and cutting machine consisting of a 16 bit microcontroller (Siemens C167CR) . This includes (a) the development of the hardware of the digital controller, which communicates with the PC based CAD application via the serial interface and which drives the power stages of the stepper motors at the power unit. (b) the development of one part of the controlling software (vector analysis and stepper task) for positioning of the four machine axis.
