Description

The ENTELIS+ project aims to reduce the digital divide by strengthening organisations to collaborate in the development of strategies and policies for digital skills development of persons with disabilities of all ages. It will do so by: • Raising awareness about the importance of accessibility as an enabler for inclusive learning and teaching, • Developing the digital skills of persons with disabilities and older people to participate in the digital society, • Building the capacity of those key actors in charge of designing and implementing facilitating frameworks (public authorities and service providers). The project adapts the EIP AHA methodology and the ENTELIS Network results to develop local actions plans to bridge the digital divide. ENTELIS+ will produce a set of useful guidelines, a training manual and will implement piloting activities aimed at seeking specific comittments to develop local actions plans for embeding accessibility and assistive technologies in inclusive education settings. ENTELIS+ brings together support service providers from Italy, Austria, Ireland & Greece; universities from Austria and Cyprus; a leading expert organisation on accessibility and three European networks representing service providers for persons with disabilities, assistive technologies experts and regional authorities. Partners in the ENTELIS+ consortium will act as “lighthouse” for other organisations wishing to upscale the innovation resulting from ENTELIS+. An online community of practice will be established to sustain project results in the long run.
