Project Details
Description
The “Easy Reading” framework will improve cognitive accessibility by providing personalisation of digital content through annotation (e.g. symbol, pictures, videos), adaptation (e.g. layout, structure) and translation (e.g easy to read, plain language, symbol language). The framework provides these (semi-)automated services using innovative HCI techniques (e.g. pop-ups/TTS/captions by mouse-over or eye-tracking) allowing the user to stay at the digital original. This keeps the user in the inclusive discourse about the original content and facilitates more independent access. Services adapt to each user through a personal profile (sensor based tracking and reasoning of e.g. the level of performance, understanding, preferences, mood, attention, context and the individual learning curve).
