Description

Healthcare systems face numerous challenges in the face of demographic change and rising costs. At the same time, however, digital change offers new opportunities. Used appropriately, available data can be used to improve processes in the system, the accuracy of treatments and ultimately the health of people. In this project, we focus on the care of patients in hospitals. Using administrative data from the Austrian health care system, we investigate the extent to which different indicators are suitable for assessing the quality of care in hospitals.
