Project Details
Description
Medical ultrasound probes must comply with certain regulatory limits in order to prevent damage of the patient’s tissue. This requires a calibration of the ultrasound probes. There, the output signal is measured with a hydrophone, which introduces distortions to the signal. Methods to reverse these distortions are investigated in this project. Among others, concepts for estimating the unknown phase of the hydrophones, and for equalizing the hydrophone signals in combination with a noise reduction are studied and refined.
