Description

SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) filters are passive components for high frequency signal processing. The present technologie allows mass production of SAW-filters up to 5 GHz. Due to high quality substrate materials, low acoustic damping and (nearly) non dispersive filters are obtained. Also many second-order effects (e.g. diffraction, reflection, bulk-waves, ohmic resistance etc.) disturb the wave propagation and should be compensated. Thee aim of this work is to predict these second-order effects with proper simulation tools to speed up the processing time.
