    Description

This project is divided in a theoretical and practical part. First it gives an overview of the present situation for mobility and commuter traffic in general and the resulting problems. Furthermore it shows details in the means of transportation, especially about influencing the choice of transportation. Finally the conception of mobility management in companies is discussed. The practical part should give a solution for the predominant parking place situation at the hospital in Vöcklabruck. To illustrate the current mobility state, a survey has been carried out. The result shows that the high amount of car drivers is affected on the one hand by objective restrictions and on the other hand by internal general hospital frameworks which do not give privilege to pedestrians, cyclists or persons who use public transport or carpools. Based on the survey and the estimation of mobility potential a detailed package of measures has been prepared. The emphasis of this measurement package is on the promotion of public transport, cyclists and pedestrians. Because of the different and flexible working hours, it seems to be more or less difficult to realise an increase in carpools. This paper is written by Doris Kammerer and Andreas Wallner as a diploma thesis and has been accompanied by the Institute for corporate and regional environmental Management as a project.
