Description

The COGNI-TEaCH project is proposing digital, open-access training for pre-service and teacher trainers in innovative methods, tools, and pedagogies of cognitive, social, and emotional learning. The goal is to make teachers better prepared to support neurodiversity among primary school children in the following ways: A. Understanding neurodiversity, including the range of neurological differences that may affect learning, behavior, and social interactions. B. Innovative methods, experience, play-based apedagogies that integrate cognitive, social, and emotional learning to identify and address the unique needs of each child, including those who are neurodiverse. C. Differentiated instruction based on the needs and strengths of each student, including those with neurodiversity, which can improve student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. D. Inclusive classroom environment that is respectful, and supportive of neurodiversity, promoting a sense of belonging and positive self-image among students. E. Collaboration and communication with parents, other teachers, and professionals to support the learning and social- emotional needs of neurodiverse children, building a comprehensive support system.
