Clay-Stoves for Zimbabwe. Clay-Stoves based on an Austrian Oven-Technology for aride and semiarid Regions of Subsaharian Africa - in Rwizi Ward/Chegutu/Mashonaland West (Zimbabwe)

Based on the results of the research-project "Appropriate Stove-Technologies for Subsaharian Africa" 20 local stove-builders (10 men, 10 women) will be trained and 20 new ovens will be errected, tested and optimized in Rwizi Ward (Zimbabwe). As a contribution to the project the participants of the training-courses (3 month) and the users of the new ovens burn the needed clay-bricks. The tools for the oven-builders will be provided by the project. The members of the households (they give a small contribution to get a new stove) will be also trained how to use the new ovens and they also will get the tools to prepare fire-wood in a proper way. The already existing prototyps are tested under the conditions of a rural african "field".
