Project Details
Description
The main objectives of this project are to improve the melt quality in terms of thermal homogeneity, to reduce thermal-oxidative degradation because of air entrapment in the polymer melt and to increase the overall energy efficiency of the plasticizing process. Moreover, novel adaptive and self-optimizing control strategies will set screw plasticizing units to the next level and will therefore be part of this project.
