Description
This project is developed by order of the company MOWIS and in cooperation with the RISC GmbH and the Software Competence Center of Hagenberg. A system will be created to get precise (one kilometer), short-term (one or several hours) as well as long-term weather forecasts. In a first step this service could be used by mobile clients (car PC, mobile phone, personal digital assistants) and an internet portal. The system basically exists of an Oracle database mainly holding geographical data and the accurate weather prognoses. Other modules are an intelligent and in broader consequence self learning query module to calculate imprecise defined geographical forecast points as well as several applications to support different mobile clients.
