AustrianGrid - WP Mobility

The Austrian Grid is a nationwide initiative to establish Grid computing in Austria. It combines Austria's leading researchers in advanced computing technologies with well-recognized partners in grid-dependant application areas. The Department of Telekooperation is leading a workpackage to study aspects of mobility in grid environments. The objectives are to study the potentials and technical feasibility of integrating mobile nodes into the grid. Demonstrations scenarios and prototypes of mobile node integration will be developed, ranging from the integration of mobile nodes for notification and control of grid jobs up to scenarios of ad hoc grids constituted by mobile nodes. The performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of mobile node integration will be evaluated.
