Patrick Fath was born in Voecklabruck, Austria, in 1992. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechatronics from Johannes Kepler University Linz in 2017 and 2020. In addition, he received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronics and Information Technology from the JKU in 2018 and 2021. His first master's thesis addressed the design of a passive 180nm receiver-frontend for low-power SRD applications and his second addressed the design of an RX-topology for a 7-GHz UWB communication system. In April 2021 he joined the Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIC) at the Johannes Kepler University Linz working towards his Ph.D. degree. His current research focuses on a wireless 1024-channel biosignal acquisition system and open-source chip design. He is recipient of the best paper award at the 2023 IEEE Nordic Circuits and Systems Conference.
