Institute of Applied Statistics

Our goal is to contribute to the JKU's success by means of conducting outstanding research and education in the area of statistics. As part of the oldest statistics degree program in German-speaking Europe, we offer sound education, thereby giving our graduates ideal professional opportunities in the job market. From a research perspective, we contribute to developing statistics itself as well as developing appropriate statistical methods to support interdisciplinary research questions. In this regard, we collaborate with academics and scientists from different research areas and members of the business community.
