Generic regression models for melt conveying in three-dimensional curved screw channels

Dataset

Description

Excel spreadsheet containing analytical regression models for confined curved channels (without flight clearance).
These generic models are now equally applicable to conventional and high-performance single-screw extrusion conditions within a segmented extruder calculation.
Model equations and coefficients are given as text and numeric values, respectively.

The following functional relationships are available:

- Dimensionless flow rate vs. dimensionless down-channel pressure gradient
- Dimensionless dissipation rate vs. dimensionless flow rate
- Dimensionless average shear rate vs. dimensionless flow rate
