The Relevance of Religiously Influenced Values on Entrepreneurial Decisions in Family

Activity: Talk or presentationContributed talkscience-to-science

Description

The influence of religion in the context of entrepreneurial activity is often demonstrated by the presence of specific - often religiously influenced - value attitudes. In this sense, religion represents a central source of values that can subsequently influence management decisions. The presence of value systems is a key characteristic of family businesses/ family firms (FF). Religious beliefs of the owner family directly or indirectly influence the values of their family business because their beliefs and values shape their behavior in their private lives but are also essential in the business context. In the sense of this problem, the presentation addresses the following research question: To what extent do Christian (Roman Catholic and Protestant) beliefs and values affect business decisions?
