Description

In this paper we present an accurate temperature model for our recently introduced resonant viscosity and density sensor, which consists of a torsionally oscillating pipe-system. As the sensor is machined out of aluminum, the resonance frequency and the intrinsic damping are both temperature dependent. This dependency affects the measurement accuracy if it is not compensated with an accurate temperature model. We present the model, line out the calibration and present an error estimation for viscosity and density over the calibrated temperature range.
