Description
The SWOT analysis as a tool has been mainly used as an assessment method for organizational and managerial development. Due to its simplicity, it can serve as a very timely instrument for feedback. We demonstrate, that it can also be useful in Higher Education institutions in the context of teaching and learning. The paper analyses the SWOT application in peer assessment as an immediate peer feedback mechanism in class. By examining and coding the responses of Master students on their peers' presentation of a proposed research topic and the respective design, we show that SWOT can be an efficient method for peer assessment, covering many levels and aspects of peer feedback.
