Description

MATHEXP Seminar at INRIA. Nested binomial sums form a particular class of sums that appear in particle physics computations, in particular in quantum electrodynamics or quantum chromodynamics, but also in combinatorics in mathematics. While computing a closed form for those is not always possible, one can in particular try to study their asymptotics at infinity, for example to get analytical continuations. We will present our package RICA which implements and extends a method sketched in « Iterated Binomial Sums and their Associated Iterated Integrals » (J. Ablinger, J.Blümlein, J.C.Raab, C. Schneider) [arXiv:1407.1822] for computing Mellin representations and asymptotic expansions of such sums.
