Studies of Measurement Uncertainties in the Characterization of Soft Magnetic Materials and their Impact on the Electric Machine Performance Prediction

Description

This work evaluates the impact of the winding system on the accuracy of the soft magnetic material characterisation using ring shaped specimen. The stray flux compensation when using a fast winding concept for simplified sample preparation is evaluated. The analyses are carried out by means of finite element simulations and the quantified correlations are validated through measurements. In addition, the gained insights are used to derive practical guidelines for the design of said winding system.
