Description

In this presentation an extended version of the mono-dispersed particulate flow simulation model called EUgran+ is presented. It is accounted for poly-disperse granular flow with particle agglomeration. The hybrid model EUgran+ combines Eulerian-Lagrangian and Eulerian-Eulerian modeling for an accurate and fast computational simulation of particulate flows. The presentation is focused on showing the benefits of the adapted model. Compared to simulations with the Eulerian granular phase model and the Langrangian discrete phase model, it is shown that the EUgran+Poly model increases the computational efficiency and the quality of results.
