Spatial Design: Statistical Techniques for Collecting Spatial Data

Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talkunknown

Description

Spatial data is usually acquired (semi-)automatically and little thought is invested on the locations at which such data are to be gathered. Those locations, however, may decisively impact the quality of a subsequent statistical analysis and efficient methods for optimizing them will significantly improve resulting estimates. I will give a reviewing introduction to the problem and illustrate it by examples from spatial criminology, ecology, agriculture, etc.
