Description

The conversion of carbon dioxide to chemicals and fuels has become an important research focus with the goal of limiting atmospheric CO2 emissions while providing a non-fossil fuel source of reduced carbon compounds. At present, no non-biological processes for CO2 reduction incorporating renewable energy sources have been successfully established. The intent of this workshop is to review current research efforts related to the chemistry of CO2, to better define the problem of CO2 redox reactivity, and to continue developing ideas for future directions in research.
