Risk analysis of controllable degradation model with preventive repair

Activity: Talk or presentationContributed talkunknown

Description

Controllable reliability model with observable degradation stages is considered. The cost structure includes the repair costs for any state where the repair is possible. The optimization problem consists in a calculation of a two-level control policy that specifies the degradation stage where the repair should be performed and a stage where the model starts after the repair. The optimal control policy minimizes the risk functional, that in this case represents the mean costs per unit of time. We describe the model as Markov-Process and calculate some stationary and non-stationary reliability characteristics of the model. Algorithms and computer tools for optimal policies construction are given. Numerical examples illustrate their application.
