Description

The Web is dominating our lives. We use it to get information, to connect with other people, to socialize, to shop, etc. In the 1990s, "nobody on the Internet knew, you were a dog". 20 years later, the situation has changed drastically. We voluntarily disclose information, be we also get tracked and often give away information without our knowledge. Many people believe they have nothing to hide. But is it really that simple? In this talk, we will give an overview of online advertising and online tracking. We will then discuss countermeasures including decoys and camouflage.
