Philosophy of Economics in Practice: Two Roundtable Discussions

Description

We envisage each of the two roundtables to take place in the time allotted for one session in the conference in order to explore both themes in sufficient depth and detail. Both roundtables will be moderated by the co-editors of the Handbook, switching the roles of formal chair of the session and moderater of the content and flow of the discussion. Both of the roundtable themes are quite broad and will be narrowed down by a set of questions. These questions, in turn, also serve as a way to link the different authors. The authors will not simply give a presentation on their chapter. Instead, each author will briefly introduce the topic of his or her chapter as a starting point for the discussion. In the discussion, among the panellists and with the audience, they will explore questions of overlap between their chapters and common interests.
