Description

A new order-eliminative procedure is presented allowing in generic case to factorize linear partial differential operator (LPDO) in two variables by pure algebraic methods. Conditions of factorization for LPDO of second and third order are presented explicitly. Construction of factorization for arbitrary order LPDOs is outlined. Class of all factorizable hyperbolic LPDOs of second order is described.
