Observability and Reachability, a Geometric Point of View

Activity: Talk or presentationContributed talkunknown

Description

The terms observability and reachability stem from the very beginning of modern control theory for linear, time invariant systems. These are properties of the system, they are independent of the choice of solutions. This picture changes, if we turn to the nonlinear, time variant case. We present a review of observability and reachability investigations for the latter class of systems based on functional analysis and differential geometry.
