Description

Smart devices and mobile applications are becoming highly integrated in health care solutions. The identification of useful and applicable solutions is a significant challenge, since the number of potential scenarios seems unlimited. To address the problem at a strategic level an empirical study was conducted. Therefore, stakeholders of mobile health were identified, classified into key, primary and secondary stakeholders, and interviewed. The interviews focused on opportunities and threats of smart devices in mobile health. Strengths and weaknesses of mobile applications were evaluated by analyzing both technical applications and literature. Finally, recommendations were derived from the results of a SWOT analysis for each key stakeholder.
