Microsensors for Localized Measurement of Bulk Properties of Fluids

Activity: Talk or presentationPoster presentationscience-to-science

Description

For measuring the isothermal bulk modulus of e.g., hydraulic fluids, three methods are commonly used. i) the volume change method, ii) the flow change method, and iii) the sound wave propagation method. We propose a fourth method based on measuring the local density variation due to pressure which has certain advantages over the aforementioned approaches.
