Ink-jet Printed Structures - Sensor and Actuator Examples

Activity: Talk or presentationContributed talkscience-to-science

Description

Producing geometrical complex prototypes in relatively short time is nowadays very important. Rapid prototyping of electronic circuits and possible ways to include sensors, actuators, energy harvesters and also active electronic components are the motivation to investigate inkjet-printed structures. Ways to fabricate a range of sensors operating on various physical principles like capacitive (gestures, proximity, touch, humidity), resistive (temperature, strain, illumination) and piezo-, pyro-electric (force, touch, thermal radiation) are investigated.
